Meet The Candidates Night

On Monday, May 6th at 7 PM, the Central Parent Council (CPC) will host this year’s candidates for the CSH Board of Education in the PAC. All candidates will have the opportunity to introduce themselves to the community and to state their reasons for wanting to serve on the Board of Ed. The CPC is, additionally, soliciting questions for the candidates from the community.

All questions for the candidates must be submitted in advance, as there will not be an opportunity to ask questions live.

Pre-curated questions based on frequently asked questions from prior years. Each candidate will have 2 minutes to respond:

What district and/ or community positions have you held and how have the responsibilities of that/those roles prepared you for the BOE?

The upcoming budget vote is on Tuesday, May 21, can you address some items in the proposed budget you look forward to supporting?
As a BOE member, where would you look to make budget cuts or further scrutinize during your tenure and are there any areas where you wish to direct more funds to?
What are your areas of concern regarding student achievement that you believe the BOE can impact?
What do you think is the greatest challenge in the CSH school district regarding special education and what would you like to see?
How would you support a policy or board initiative that passes with a board majority that you disagree with?
